Am I white enough for you now?

“Am I white enough for you now?” A series expressing my frustration with “whitewashing”, and how racism and self-hatred is making dark-skinned women go as far as to bleach their skin because they think it will make them more beautiful. Dark-skinned celebrities and models are made to look “whiter” with make-up and Photoshop all the time. Why is white associated with beautiful, pure and clean? It breaks my heart. Gratitude to my muse Tinotenda Mushore and make-up artist Sylvia Mercera for letting this concept, this idea floating around in my brain, come to life.
